Reasons to Vote No on MCCC Millage
According to publicly available documents on the MCCC website:
-
This millage was originally proposed as a temporary millage 10 years ago. MCCC is now seeking a second 5 year renewal!
-
Every year the millage is in place MCCC receives more property tax dollars due to the annual increase in property valuations. Vote No, give yourself a tax break.
-
As of end of fiscal year June 2024 MCCC had over 37 million dollars in cash and cash equivalents on hand. They have stock piled our tax dollars and don’t need more.
-
The MCCC 2025 -2026 budget allocates a whopping 35 million dollars just for building renovations including 2.5 million dollars for the Whitman Center.
